Alan Huckle

Alan is the founder and Chairperson of EyesWrite, a group whose main aim is to facilitate the production of new plays by local writers.
Many years ago as a student in Teesside recorded two series of educational plays for Radio Durham and Radio Cleveland and worked holiday periods as a stage hand for the local professional theatre and after moving to East Anglia with his wife and family, he acted in all kinds of plays from Shakespeare and Chekhov to dramas and farces. He now lives in Eye and until its closure a few years ago he and his family helped at the local Eye Theatre.
His first stage plays were performed in 2005 at the Red Lion in Debenham and a five years later his first Sig and Serv play entitled Meurtre, Mystère et Mutilation was performed at the Madder Market Theatre in Norwich. The following year a second Sig and Serv play was performed and in 2012 the third in the series will be performed and it too will be toured locally before going to the Groundlings Theatre in Portsmouth and Glenmore Community Centre in Leicestershire.
