SNYA Radio vacancies
Are you over the age of eleven, then why not volunteer to work at SNYA Radio?
SNYA Radio is a community internet radio station for young people, so whatever music you like or whatever you want to talk about then we want to hear from you.
SNYA Radio is always on the lookout for talented people like you to host and produce radio shows.
Please be aware, before you apply to join us, that we are a real radio station with all the standards and responsibilities of any other professional radio station.
We will only consider applications from people who will enhance our existing team and this will require you to be mature enough to adapt to whatever opportunities or challenges SNYA Radio offers.
When you join our team you will be expected to interview celebrities, VIPs and members of the public. (Sometimes at very short notice) You will be given the opportunity to undertake outside broadcasts, work on other radio stations, commentate on live sports events and compere live rock concerts.
Don’t worry if you haven’t done this type of thing before because initial and on going training and mentoring and support is always given.
We have studios at Norwich, Wymondham and Long Statton.
We broadcast from these studios on
Monday, Tuesday and Saturday - EPIC Studios in Norwich
Wednesday - The Woodshack Rehearsal Studios in Wymondham
Thursday and Friday - Long Stratton Leisure Centre in south Norfolk.
SNYA Radio offers several ways in which you can get involved;
1) SNYA School Radio – This is where we bring our mobile studio to your school for a few days or a week. Your school designs and broadcasts their own programmes during the school day.
2) SNYA Outreach Radio - We can attend your youth club, uniformed youth provision or church group in Norfolk. Ask your youth leader to get in touch.
3) SNYA Radio - If you live in Norfolk and can get yourself to either Wymondham, Long Stratton or Norwich then you can have a go.
4) SNYA NEET Radio - If you are you not in employment, education or training then we are able to offer you the opportunity to make your own radio shows during the day.
5) SNYA Work Experience Radio – Are you studying a Foundation Degree in Media Studies (year 1 and 2), National Diploma in Media Production or Year 10 media studies? In partnership with City College you are eligible to undertake your work experience at SNYA Radio. Please speak to your tutor. Other Educational establishments will also be considered.
6) SNYA Radio Live Lounge - Do you or your band want some air time? We have a live lounge for your band to play live on air. Alternatively, your band could visit our studios and one of our broadcasters will interview you whilst we play your music from your demo disc.
