The Will Litchfield Show
Category: News | Posted by: stevet
As a direct result of Will Litchfield sending messages using our ‘members of SNYA Radio Facebook’ as a mailing list, an article was published in last week’s Diss Express (Friday 11th June).
This happened because some of our members of the SNYA Radio Facebook are members of the media. We are informed that Will Litchfield was contacted by this paper and he did give a statement. We would like to make it clear that SNYA Radio’s response to the reporter’s enquiry was as follows
‘South Norfolk Youth Action Radio (SNYA Radio) is an independent radio station run for and by young people. We provide positive activities for young people from across Norfolk.
The radio station is managed by a group of young people collectively known as ‘The Management Committee’. This committee take their duties seriously and make their decisions collectively. As part of their responsibilities they uphold the rules, regulations and contracts that protect the radio station and individuals.
The Management Committee does not comment on individual cases. However, we would like parents, young people and our listeners to be aware that we strive to maintain SNYA radio as a safe place for all young people to showcase their talents and enjoy their creativity in a respectful and fair environment’.
In addition Steve Thomas’s contribution was no more than the following
‘I am the Coordinator of South Norfolk Youth Action and a youth worker with Children’s Services. Accordingly I am unable to respond to your questions about individual young people or provide any additional information’.

We would like our fans to know that the Lord Mayors parade is 10th July not 5th July as reported in this article
I write as James and Joe's mum ( Easy Brothers ). Thanks to your radio station the band were given a chance to perform to a wider audience than previously experienced. They loved it. All I would like to Say with regard to Will and Frazer comments on air is: This is the first opportunity the band have experienced to perform live on radio , and it wasn't very encouraging to be mocked 'live' on air , with all their friends listening. That said , they thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening and were rather surprised at how it has all turned out. They really were not that bothered. It's all 'rock n roll!
After much consideration the SNYA Radio Management Committee has decided to make one more ‘Will Litchfield Show’ to explain the story behind the news of ‘The Will Litchfield Show’. We now feel that as a result of the public interest we will place all the information in the public domain. This will be done in the way that we do best, by making a quality, balanced radio programme. Stay tuned to find out when this show is going to be aired. Will Litchfield will not be taking any part in the making of this show.
