An open apology
SNYA Radio would like to make a public apology for the disrespect that was shown to ‘The Easy Brothers’ and their fans by one of our presenters and a producer from SNYA Radio. The incident took place between 6.00pm and 8.00pm on 20th May 2010.
After receiving a complaint from a listener, the incident was then fully investigated by the SNYA Radio Management Committee and was unreservedly upheld.
SNYA Radio has dismissed both the presenter and producer on the grounds of gross misconduct. The presenter had served a previous suspension and unfortunately we are also in receipt of a further complaint, about the presenter, regarding a separate incident that occurred on 1st May 2010. We have taken this action as we wish SNYA Radio to remain a safe place where all young people can showcase their talent without fear or ridicule
Although both individuals have been given the opportunity to appeal our ex- presenter has now replied by demanding one more show or he will delete our SNYA Facebook account. SNYA Radio will not capitulate to blackmail so again we would like to apologise to the 1056 members who have taken the time to join us on SNYA Radio’s Facebook. I am sorry for the inconvenience this will cause you but would urge you all to leave the group by clicking ‘leave group’ under the member’s names and pictures.
As an interim measure keep your requests coming via ‘chat’ on www.livestream.com/snyaradio or join ‘The Official SNYA Radio’ group on Facebook.
SNYA Radio works with sixty-two young people from various back-grounds and we consider them all to be really nice people. Members of our team have expressed great sadness at our ex-colleagues bad behaviour.
SNYA Radio apologises unreservedly to ‘The Easy Brothers’ for the beahviour of two of our staff and we wish ‘The Easy Brothers’ well and hope they achieve great success in the future.
