Adult voluntary youth worker required
Category: News | Posted by: stevet
We need your help and support to supervise our young people whilst they broadcast and produce their shows at the studios at Long Stratton Leisure Centre. You would normally be supervising up to four young people, aged between 11 and 21 years old, in a two hour slot and your duties will include mentoring, advising and offering support.
It is our requirement that you are over the age of 21, will undertake an Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau check, have experience of working with young people, enjoy the entertainment industry and like music. It would be ideal if you have experience of social networks and a broad awareness or understanding of information technology.
Because we are members of Norfolk Council for Voluntary Youth Services we are able to offer you a training programme which includes 1st aid, food hygiene dealing with conflict, risk assessment and bereavement. In addition we can signpost you to other specialist training providers and on the job training.
Hours are variable to suit your lifestyle. To apply please send me a e-mail to skthomas@s-norfolk.gov.uk
